- Supporting Y6 writing assessment and moderation
Sarah is responsible for the Primary Phase of Initial Teacher Training for the Inspiration Teaching School Hub. She is also a facilitator for both the Core and Primary Sessions for the ITT programme as well as the ECT programme.
Sarah began as a Primary school teacher in 1990 and has worked in schools all over the UK as well as for Service children’s Education in schools in Germany and Cyprus. She has taught nursery up to Year 7. She has wide-ranging experience with subject leadership in Maths, English, Music and PE and phase leadership. She has been the Vice Principal for two of Inspiration Trust’s schools, leading predominantly on curriculum, especially the introduction to the Trust’s knowledge-based curriculum, teaching and learning, teacher development and assessment. She also works as a Year 6 writing moderator for Norfolk LEA.
Having been the Primary Phase Lead for Inspiration Teacher training since 2018, she continued in this role for the Inspiration Trust as an associate college with the National Institute of Teaching. She is passionate about inspiring and developing the next generation of teachers.
In her spare time, she is busy renovating an old Victorian school into her home, with lots of persuasion will play the double bass and piano and like most of the other staff in the teaching school hub...has two cats, one of which only has 3 legs!
